Standing Up Against Fluoridation

13 July 2010

Steve has written to Health Secretary Andrew Lansley MP as local people raise concern over the fluoridation of our water.

Steve said: “While the aim of reducing tooth decay, particularly in children, is certainly a noble one, I do not believe that mass fluoridation of our water is the way to go. There are many people with a variety of conditions, such as Lupus, who would be adversely affected.

“I am also extremely concerned that where fluoride occurs naturally in some local areas, the artificial addition of yet more could be very harmful.

“Many local people have written to me sharing these concerns, and as such, I have written to Andrew Lansley urging him to reassess this policy and allow local people to have the ultimate say.”
