Micheldever Annual Summer Fete

17 July 2010

New Winchester MP Steve Brine opened Micheldever's annual Summer fete on Saturday 17 July.

The event was held on the Lord Rank Playing Fields in Micheldever village and featured steam train rides, a spectacular air display flypast and live sabre fencing display from Pey Kan Su and Maciej Pulaczewski.

The Winchester Archery Club were also there and were keen to get a bow in the hands of Steve.

Steve commented; "I have been fortunate enough to visit scores of fetes since being elected and they all have their distinct attractions, alongside the regular favourites! One thing they all have in common, however, is the whole community getting involved.

"We have so much to be thankful for in Winchester and many new events competing for peoples' time but our Summer fete's are old favourites and long may they thrive."
